Was Jesus just another zodiacal god-man myth? Doubt it.

I guess i've been hanging out with too many atheists, but this kinda stuff is on my mind alot. My tendency is to try and have more "faith" when these doubts come up, but maybe that is a misnomer. Learning about stuff really helped... maybe that is faith. I duno. thoughts anyone? I still don't get the role of apologetics, esp in evangelism, i mean Peter, Paul and Stephen used it in Acts, but nowadays they kinda tell you that its a waste of time. I guess it only works on jews.
So me, Eric, Brian, and David skyped last night, which felt like a house reunion, everyone get skype and we can go for all 9 or so of us. Things are good here, gota go.

i think apologetics can be evangelical to a certain type of people. some people might not want to believe in something if they don't think it holds water. one reason people might shy away from it now as opposed to the early church is that many (if not most) evangelicals are likely to run into someone who can out-maneuver them philosophically. would you agree that it could take a fair amount of training to rigorously defend the christian faith? probably more than most evangelicals have at least. but honestly i think the best role of apologetics is for personal growth. i mean sure it's good sometimes to defend your faith to other people but i end up defending the faith to myself more than anyone else.
I'm a jew. Try it on me.
I've got Skype. Let's all have a big conference call.
